all this makes me appreciate the HOMETOWN
goodness that is hostboard.

now.... i'm going to post it here....
not only can i post as long as i want...
but i can use any word that i want without
fear of being FUCKING DELETED OR FUCKING BANNED.

now on to what i was gonna say....

i have hinted about this enough... its time
to get down to business.

wm has spent a lot of time developing and
decorating our guild. she has done a great
job. she has also said that she is going
to spend some time in the near future to
make way for our newest guild project:

contests and quests

our guild is going to start giving away
stuff in our own guild contests and quests.
these will vary... as you know there are
so many things to do and give away...

do not worry if you do not have alot of NP
or high scores or anything... the contests/quests
will attempt to be as fair as possible...
but its probably a good idea to practice
on your games and build up some np.

hopefully our guild will have a donation
page...
the donation page will be set up for guild
members to donate items and NP for guild
prizes...
a donation page is a complicated system...
especially considering neopets and their
GAY rules... so that will come in time.

however, for the moment we are strongly
wishing to start the contests and quests.
that doesn't require a donation page as of
yet.

the contests/quests will vary as will the
prizes. i have a few paint brushes, fairies,
plushies, petpets and other goodies to help
in the prize department while we start off.

it is important to remember that the guild
will have its own contests and quests...
but that shouldn't discourage you from
making your own contest or quest for other
guild members.
this could be especially useful if you are
needing NP or an item... you never know.

it would also serve to know that in a guild
contest/quest, both me and wm are excluded
from playing. if you create your own contests
or quests... we can play. and it would be
fun (and fair).

it is also something that wm or i could have
our own separate contests/quests... in which
case... should i have my own private contest
or quest... wm can play along.

i hope this makes sense.

it would also be wise to have a shop if you
do not have one already. the basic shop
costs 125np to start and it can hold 5
items (i think).
having your own shop will help in guild
contests/quests because you can store your
items so that we can verify that you have
them. as you know, if you price your items
at 100.000np... they cannot be purchased...
but will be seen in your shop.
so think about doing that.

if you are expressly interested in winning
(or buying) a paintbrush... be sure that your
pet or petpet can be painted with that
paintbrush. not all pets and petpets can
be painted with every paintbrush... so it
would save you loads of NP and time if you
check first.

however, if you win a contest/quest...
your winnings will be up to you as to what
you do with them. if you win a snow paint
brush and your pet cannot be painted with
it... you are welcome to keep it, sell it,
or adopt/buy a pet that can be painted.
its totally up to you.

ok... now.....

to kickstart this contest/quest thing for
the guild... i'm going to make the first
contest....
since this is my own personal contest...
wm is included in playing. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

i am not going to post the contest right
yet because i want everyone (that can) to
read this post first.

i will be posting the contest and the prize(s)
at 9pm (CST). i will post the quest here
AND in the guild... but for the future...
i'd prefer that all contests/quests be
kept on the guild message board.

you are surely welcome to advertise that
you have a contest on hostboard... but i
wouldn't mention what the contest was or
the prize(s) on hostboard. this is to
encourage folks to get aquainted and use
the guild.

me).... for each member that refers a friend to
sign up and join the guild.... you will receive
this handsome guy:

scarypet abnormal snowball

abominable snowman petpet
(this petpet can be painted purple, blue, robot
or yellow)

glow in the dark eyrie plushie

you get a free petpet for getting one of your
friends to come and join the guild. i woulda
given away something cooler for your friends...
but since i feel that its possible some will just
join to get the goods... no sense in wasting it.

here's what i need you to do....

refer someone to the guild...
that means they have to register (if they aren't
already)... add me to their neofriend list...
and join the guild.

i would also like for you to neomail me with
the name and ID of the person you are referring.
i also need your friend to do the same. this
means that your friend must add me to their
neofriend list (as stated)... so that i can do
confirmations.

this offer is for EVERYONE. do not worry if you
have to be the first person et al. i have enough
snowmen and eyries for this contest.

however....
you will have a time limit.....

you have until noon tomorrow (CST) to complete
the process (this must include all of the
actions your friend must do).

so lets run through it--

hmmm... better clarify...

for some reason, i've recently (several months)
